Novak Djokovic and Alexander Kovacevich will meet in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters on March 9. Djokovic stalled at the start of the California Masters, spending three sets to defeat Kamil Majhrzak. Kovacevic will be the next test for the Serb on the open hard court. How confident is Novak going to beat this opponent? – the bets for this match are in our betting tip
Djokovic scored a strong-willed victory over Kamil Majhrzak in the second round of the Indian Wells Masters. The 38-year-old Serbian representative started the meeting unsuccessfully, losing the first game, but managed to completely seize the initiative and confidently put the squeeze on the Pole in the next two sets (4-6, 6-1, 6-2). Novak is a five–time winner of the Indian Wells competition.
Djokovic, of course, remains the undisputed favorite for the upcoming match, but his start at the Indian Wells tournament leaves room for thought. In the second round match against Majhrzak, the 38-year-old Serb frankly got into the rhythm for a long time, giving the first game, and only then turned on his trademark dominance mode. Kovacevic, on the other hand, caught real courage on the California home courts. The American has already created a big sensation at the start of the tournament, knocking the powerful Hubert Gurkach out of the net after two flawless tie-breaks, and then dealt with Corentin Muthe as confidently as possible. Aleksandar is currently serving well, stable on the back line and has a great feel for the local hard court. We believe that he is able to reliably win back his serve in the upcoming game and impose a tight fight, taking advantage of the fact that Novak needs time to build up.
Our betting tip is Kovacevich’s victory with a handicap of (+5) games for a coefficient of 1.74
