Kyle Larson cancelled his extension with Hendrick Motorsports

Kyle Larson won’t have to worry about his next NASCAR contract until the 2030s. Larson has signed a five-year contract extension that will keep him in the No. 5 car for Hendrick Motorsports through the 2031 NASCAR Cup Series season, the team announced. This means the two-time Cup Series champion is locked up for the next six seasons.

Larson’s primary sponsor, HendrickCars.com, has matched the extension, locking the company into the No. 5 team for the next six years. HendrickCars.com has been the primary sponsor of the No. 5 car since Larson joined the organization in 2021. Larson’s crew chief, Cliff Daniels, has also signed a multi-year contract extension.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver was supposed to enter a contract year; however, there were no doubts that an extension wouldn’t be reached. Larson is now locked into his ride at Hendrick Motorsports until his late 30s, and he hopes to win multiple championships on his new deal.
