Racing runs deep in the Larson family — and at the 2026 Tulsa Shootout, Kyle Larson’s son Owen Larson and daughter Audrey Larson have already made their presence felt.
The Tulsa Shootout, held annually at the SageNet Center, is one of grassroots racing’s biggest stages. This year’s event officially began Tuesday morning and will feature an astonishing 209 heat races across six divisions. Tuesday alone saw 112 heat races, including 48 in the A-Class division and 16 in Jr. Sprints, setting the tone for a marathon week of indoor micro racing.
Among the standout storylines so far has been the collective performance of the Larsons. NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson just won the High Limit International race at Perth Motorplex on Tuesday. Kyle will be heading to the Tulsa Shootout to compete in the winged outlaw class, but he’s also been watching the next generation step into the spotlight.
Eleven-year-old Owen Larson delivered early results across multiple divisions, including a heat race win from the pole in A-Class and a strong charge from sixth to third in Stock Non-Wing.
Then came seven-year-old Audrey’s moment. Making her Tulsa Shootout debut in Jr. Sprints, Audrey Larson moved from second to first to win her first career Tulsa Shootout heat race, a milestone that underscored how quickly she’s learning the craft.
From Kyle’s proven excellence to Owen’s rising confidence and Audrey’s breakthrough, the message from Tulsa is simple: the racing legacy is being passed down in real time.
