I think Stephen Curry’s gonna come home to Charlotte.
The conversation around would he ever leave the Warriors?
They’re still the Warriors.
Draymond is still there.
Not when Jimmy Butler is out for next season, and they didn’t make a move to upgrade the roster right now.
And I think Mike Dunleavy Jr. realizes we can’t compete at the highest levels with Jimmy Butler gonna be out next season.
So rather than doing the Milwaukee Bucks thing to try to prolong this thing, maybe it is just the organization realizes it’s not gonna happen here, and if he wants to go to Charlotte, go for it.
I think that interview is just a little hint.
In the back of Stephen Curry’s mind, he’s thought about what if this doesn’t last forever in Golden State?
And the Charlotte stuff has always been out there if he were ever to leave.
The Hornets are on the upswing.
If there’s anywhere that you could argue they can improve, it’s finding someone more consistent than LaMelo, and perhaps Stephen Curry, despite being 14 years older, would be that guy.
And never mind all the money he would bring in and all the attention Stephen Curry would bring in, all the non-basketball stuff.
I think it’s something to monitor
