Former NBA star Stephen Jackson believes the Warriors should trade Stephen Curry to the San Antonio Spurs to team up with Victor Wembanyama if Curry ever decides he wants out of Golden State.
This summer, there have already been rumors about Stephen Curry‘s uncertain future with the Golden State Warriors.
And while those rumors have been denied, speculation about where Curry would fit best if he eventually leaves the Warriors has always been an intriguing topic.

Curry wants to finish his career in Golden State
Despite various outside talk about his future, Curry recently shut down all rumors about him continuing his career elsewhere.
In an exclusive interview with Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area, the superstar guard set the record straight that he is in no rush to sign a new deal with the Dubs, as he sees himself ending his career in the Bay Area.
“There’s no question I want to be here the rest of my career, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen,” Curry said.
“The deal and the contract stuff will happen at the right time, and we’re not letting it be a distraction from our preparation for the season, and the fact that the team we’re coming back with has a lot of familiarity.”
Stephen Curry has one more year left on his contract and will earn $62.5 million in the upcoming 2026-27 season.
He is already eligible to sign a contract extension with the Warriors, which will likely be the last big contract of his career.
At age 38, Curry remains highly productive as one of the best players in the world. He averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds for the Warriors last NBA season, but was limited to 43 games amid knee injury issues.
Without him consistently in the lineup, the Warriors endured a tough season, winning just 37 games and coming up short in the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament, losing to the Phoenix Suns.
