LeBron James gets taught Philadelphia lingo by Kevin Hart on the golf course after

LeBron James is embracing his move to the Philadelphia 76ers by having native Kevin Hart get him up to speed on the local slang.

LeBron is a Cleveland boy who only left his hometown for glamorous destinations like Los Angeles and Miami. However, he’s now left glitzy LA to join the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.

The 41-year-old might not live in Philly for his time with the franchise, but he’s already being brought up to speed on the slang that natives of his fanbase speak.

Kevin Hart teaches LeBron James Philadelphia slang

Hart and James were playing golf together, with the comedian sharing a video of him speaking in popular Philly lingo to keep LeBron updated on how his new fans talk, with James dropping a ‘young bull’ reference to Hart at the end.

“You back on your Philly lingo, young bull.”

Hart and LeBron have been friends for years, with Hart likely playing a role in James’ decision to join the 76ers.

The comedian did do a soft-recruitment pitch for LeBron, but for this move to become reality must be a crazy feeling for the superfan Hart.

James likely won’t pick up on the local culture as much if he’s only coming to Philadelphia on gamedays and staying in New York otherwise, but he’s bound to ingratiate himself with the local fans.

James joins a winning project in Philadelphia with a stacked starting five featuring James, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, V.J. Edgecombe, and Joel Embiid.

There will be immediate championship expectations, with Philadelphia being a very passionate sports town.

If James delivers a championship to the city, he will be a legend for life. If he doesn’t, the fanbase will turn on him just as quickly and will hold his potential status as a New York resident against him.

This wasn’t a safe move, but James wants the pressure and the challenge to drive him to succeed.
