Rennae Stubbs took to X to share what she witnessed following the Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic match as the former doubles world No. 1 revealed that the Serb made his way over to the Italian’s team to warmly congratulate them on their success.
On Friday, the 39-year-old was denied a chance to play in his 11th Wimbledon final after the top-ranked Italian earned a routine 6-4 6-4 6-4 win.
For Djokovic, it was yet another Grand Slam run over the last three years that ended with a loss in the latter stages to either Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz.
Speaking with the media afterward, the record 24-time Grand Slam champion kept it very honest, admitting that Sinner was simply the better player. The former world No. 1 also acknowledged once again that competing in five-set matches over two weeks wasn’t easy for him anymore.

Stubbs, who is part of Serena Williams’ team during the American’s comeback, noticed something that left a positive impression on her after the Djokovic-Sinner match.

Djokovic remains without Grand Slam No. 25 but isn’t planning to quit
It is no secret that Djokovic’s biggest goal is to win his 25th Grand Slam title and become the first male or female player to achieve the feat.
As mentioned above, the Serbian tennis veteran has enjoyed several deep Major runs since his 2023 US Open triumph but has been unable to get over the final hurdle.
